Jeremy is a partner of Ashwell Rogers specialising in the out of town retail and leisure sector.  He has nearly 20 years experience in the retail sector predominantly in the lease advisory arena but also advising clients in agency, investment and strategic asset management initiatives.

Jeremy is a partner of Ashwell Rogers specialising in the out of town retail and leisure sector. He has over 25 years of experience in the retail sector predominantly in the lease advisory area but also advising clients in agency, investment and strategic asset management initiatives.

Jeremy started his career working with Chris and Roger at Morgan Grenfell Laurie and following a short period working in Reigate and Portsmouth joined Healey & Baker in 1994 as a surveyor in the High Street Retail Rent Review team covering the south west and Wales.  Jeremy joined the Out of Town Retail team and was responsible for running and developing the Out of Town Retail Lease Advisory business.  He subsequently ran the combined Cushman & Wakefield, Retail Lease Advisory business involving managing and developing a national team of 25 surveyors across 5 UK offices.

Jeremy joined Ashwell Rogers as a partner in 2013 to continue to advise his predominantly landlord clients on all aspects of the Out of Town Retail and Leisure sector.  He specialises in advising clients on all aspects relating to the rent review, lease renewal and strategic asset management matters.  He also advises on agency and investment matters in the specialist sector bringing together 20 years of experience and knowledge to add value to client’s holdings.

Although mainly focussed on the non-food sector dealing with units from small retail solus stores through to individual units of over 130,000 sq ft to high profile retail parks Jeremy has also advised owners of foodstores; leisure properties including cinemas, health & fitness and restaurants; and motor trade premises.  He has and continues to act for a number of the UK’s major institutional and property company owners as well as individual property owners.

Jeremy’s current clients include Columbia Threadneedle Investments, Frasers Group, Peel L&P, abrdn, M&G Real Estate, SEGRO, Mayfair Capital and Longmead Capital.

Jeremy is also an experienced Third Party Dispute Resolver being on the President of the RICS’ Panel of Arbitrators and Independent Experts and is regularly appointed to act in rent review disputes in both capacities.  He is also experienced with dealing the lease renewals both at Court and through PACT.  Jeremy is actively involved with the RICS as an APC Assessor.
